A 1952 Mid-Century single family residence in the Baldwin Hills was patiently waiting for the right architect that could transform it to simpler and modern geometric lines. Alloi decluttered this old home and gave it a fresh, contemporary design featuring a new entrance that opens up to a spectacular cathedral ceiling at the center of the living area, with a redesigned kitchen and dining room.
The stunning views of nearly the entire LA basin from the backyard was perfect for a refreshing backyard pool, spa, firepit, dining and lounge zones.
A putting green was later added to create a practice space for the homeowner with stunning hillside views.
A 5’x8′ glass pivot door welcomes you into the foyer, newly clad with white rift oak cabinetry to store your belongings.
This project involved a comprehensive home transformation, reconfiguring the layout to support an open floor plan, renovating all primary living spaces, and designing a new backyard oriented toward expansive city views.

By removing the sunroom addition, we introduced abundant natural light into the revitalized living and dining areas, enhancing their openness and highlighting the beauty of the surrounding scenery.
